This project requires an adult to help make the facepaint, but of course the kids will want to help. Facepaint provides for children hours of fun and creativity.
Place a
large pot with water
on the stove.
Allow water to simmer and remove from heat
.
Add
three to four cups of Lux Flakes.
Return to heat to dissolve flakes if necessary.
Leave to cool. The mixture should be smooth and creamy. Add
colour
(you may like to place mixture in smaller containers so you can have a variety of colours). Tempera paint powder is best for colouring, Store in airtight containers in the fridge.
For great fun, remember your local library will have books on facepainting if you need some ideas. You will need
lots of brushes, an
old shirt
and a
mirror.
The children I know like to make accessories like ears for cats. This activity is great fun for groups of children and is especially enjoyed on festive occasions.
