Our programme is underpinned by Te Whariki, the early childhood curriculum (Ministry of Education, 1996) and is based on the four principles of empowerment, holistic development, family and community and relationships.

We are conscious that children and their families need to be empowered, that children need to learn in a holistic way, that children’s wellbeing is interdependent with that of their families and communities, and that children learn through interactions with others and the environment.
